This weekend’s tragic news that the popular former chairman Derek Pavis passed on aged 87 at the Queen’s Medical Centre, Nottingham. He will be much missed and fondly remembered, initially becoming vice-chairman in September 1986 amid difficult times for the club. Highlights of his 13 years include successive promotions and Wembley finals under managers Neil Warnock, and Sam Allardyce. Our deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. Notts County Football Club lead the tributes to this great man. Further reactions to his sad passing.
