NCFCOSA clarifies position regarding HMRC debts & uncertain future

Members of NCFCOSA and committee members have been in discussion regarding the uncertain short term future of Notts County Football Club. We understand, and appreciate, the feeling for sadness and uncertainly for our beloved football club, which the short and long term future could be in danger, amongst the whole of the Notts County fan base.

NCFCOSA were asked by members, to see if we could conduct a collection for Notts County Football Club, to ‘preserve’ the future of the club; with it’s fantastic heritage, it must be preserved for future generations.

The idea of no more Notts County, would be truly heartbreaking for the community, as a whole, although this has been confirmed by Alan Hardy, the club will be sold in due course and Paragon Interiors’ administrators are ‘supportive of the efforts to sell the football club’.

Patricia Akers has been in dialogue with the Notts’ fan engagement officer regarding the potential collections for Notts County, but has been assured the HMRC bill is in hand and will be paid. To assist the Football Club, as best as possible, supporters’ have been recommended to join Lifeline, (www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/lifeline) for £2/week. Donations to the Football Club have been asked to be directed to Lifeline, too.

We are here for the club and supporters, collectively and will represent your views/concerns to the football club on an unbiased, fair platform.

Further queries can be made to Patricia Akers, the Secretary; her e-mail address is [email protected].
