Magpies victorious at Newport by Chloe Norman

10:00am: I boarded the coach to travel to Newport County in south of Wales, where I were feeling good about myself, just thinking to myself, we snatch a win.

1:30pm: We arrived in Newport and walked into the ground waiting for the team news to arrive. Mark Cooper made five changes! Out goes Scott Loach, Liam Noble, Adam Campbell, Mawona Amevor and Stanley Aborah. Stepping in comes Roy Carroll, Genaro Snijders, Jon Stead and Mike Edwards!

3:00pm: Kick off – Notts County kicked the game off shooting away from the Notts fans. In the 7th minute Notts had their first shot on target but the Newport goalkeeper turned it around his post in order to deliver County’s first corner of the game.

3:44pm: Genaro Snijders scored to make it 1:0 to the Magpies at halftime!

4:00pm: Newport County kicked off the second half and hadn’t really tested Roy Carroll once in the game other than a few catches he had to produce.

4:45pm: The referee indicated that there will be three minutes of additional time to be played at the end of the second half. Could Notts hold on to the one goal lead they had worked so far for?

4:48pm: The Referee blew whistle to end the match and Notts County had beaten Newport County 1:0 – Mark Cooper told ALL of the lads to salute the away fans!

Now we focus attention onto saturday against Carlisle United for the last home game of the 2015/16 season! COME ON YOU PIES.
