End of seasons thoughts from the NCFCOSA media representative, Melvyn Watson.
As another season comes to an end for all Notts County supporters, we the NCFCOSA committee want to reflect on what as been another successful season in all our fundraising efforts to help our academy and Notts County Football Club in general.
I was amazed to learn that the NCFCOSA had donated £13,160 from the 1st April 2014 to 14th March 2017 to help the Notts County Academy and the club, some of the fantastic items that have been donated so far include Pods, babmington nets, laptops, footballs, video analysis equipment, Defibrilator, a mini bus, physio couch and many more items, this is a credit to all the hard working committee menbers who fundraise every week.
There as been many social events that have been supported by the NCFCOSA, notably a visit to the football museum in Manchester.
A group of members attended a fans forum in Sheffield recently and put forward some very good points to the panel on behalf of the fans, the committee will also be attending the Football Supporters Federation and Supporters Direct joint annual supporters summit at St Georges Park Burton-on-Trent on the 1st and 2nd of July 2017, this is in partnership with the FA.
Last Saturday one of our disabled fans was treated very badly by the Luton Town Football Club, we find this totally unacceptable, our secretary Pat Akers has brought this to the attention of the Level Playing Field and they are making representation to Luton Town Football Club as well as contacting the EFL and the FSF, you will be able to read the outcome of this matter on our official website when we have something to report to you.
This as been my first full season on the committee of the NCFCOSA and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working with some very dedicated and hard working people who only have Notts County Football Club at heart.
