A Flying Dutchman’s visit

The weekend of 10 and 11 September we visited Nottingham; the purpose was to visit the home game Notts County against Luton Town. Myself my wife Aline and my son Marco are Dutch supporter we support Notts County FC  because it is the oldest league football club in the world.

Patricia Akers secretary from the NCFCOSA made an appointment for us with Mr Les Bradd; the topscorer from Notts all time and he showed us around the stadium. We saw the pitch; the dressing rooms and the hospitality rooms. It was a great pleasure to see all these things. On the stand we also met Colin Slater, the commentator who reported more then 2000 games on Notts County. A very nice man and I’m very proud to talk some words with him.
Patricia told me by mail to take seats 95 till 97 on row N from the Pavis stand; it was good to see from this place Notts won the game with 3 – 2 from Luton Town. After the match I shaked hands with Ricardo Moniz and Mawouna Amevor. Before joining Notts County Mawouna played for my club Go Ahead Eagles in the Netherlands.

We liked the great hospitality from Notts County FC and would thank the staff from Notts County to make it possible for us to visit the club. Hope this year will be succesfull for Notts to go back to League One and maybe I will see you again.

Best regards and good luck for Notts this year
